Pumpkin Patch 2013

Almost every year we make our annual trek to the Pumpkin Patch at Theis Farm.  Those that made it this year were Mawmaw and Pawpaw Hessel, The Smiths, The Sutphins, Will and our little family.  

Kenny was a little climber!  He made a beeline for the haytowers!

Cardinals Care 6K

I once again participated in the Cardinals Care 6K this year.  It is one of my favorite charity races, mainly because it is so laid back and Jackie Joyner Kersee is there!

This year I convinced a few people to do the race with me, and then I found out that I would be walking it this year!!!  My girl Bridget rocked out her first race!  Heck, she ran it faster than I did the last 2 years!  Her mom Karen, and Brother in Law Gary also joined the team!  My friend Scott did it as well, despite a little honeymoon interrupting his training.  I even got the husband to agree to do it!  He was supposed to walk with me, but decided to run as much as he could with our friend Leslie.  He did pretty great, considering I can't tell you the last time he ran anywhere!  My Mother in Law walked the 1 mile fun run with Kenny in the stroller.


At the end of the race Jason Motte and his wife were there!  It was pretty awesome and it was the first time a Cardinals player has been there at the finish line.  It was a great way to raise some money for a fantastic organization and honor the late great Stan Musial!!

Happy 4th of July

This year, Kenny and I missed the fireworks at Delmar Gardens to watch Daddy's band play at the fireworks here in West Alton. We did go watch fireworks on the 4th with Maw Maw and Paw Paw Hessel, Aunt Bridget and the Boys, Grandma Lucille, and Uncle Will. We went to the St. Charles fireworks on the river.
