So this week has been crazy. Travis has been in the hospital since Monday and I have been running around like crazy. It has so hard to divide my time. I want to be at the hospital with him, especially since I know how boring a week in the hospital is. Problem is, he was diagnosed with RSV and we really didn't want to expose the kids to him or any of the other gross hospital germs any more than we already had. That means having grandparents and Miss Mary watch the kids while I went to DePaul. It has just been so hard and I have a new found respect for all the single parents out there!
So what did all of this mean for my workouts? I didn't do them. I was exhausted and busy and just didn't do them. I ate like crap this week as well. A lot of fast food and grabbing snacks on the go. So, I am going to start everything over. I am going to catch up on my #mayibeginyoga2015 challenge. I am going to retry the ab challenge starting June 1st and I am going to restart half marathon training on Monday. I am going to do a 30 minute yoga session every day. I am back to meal planning and healthier home cooked foods. I won't let this past week bring me to a crashing halt. I just had a misstep and am heading back on track.
My weight surprisingly stayed the same. 175
Oh and I have a favorite yoga position. Corpse pose is just fantastic!
Join us on our Wunderful journey through life. Travis is a hardworking River Rat and I am new to this Stay at Home mom gig.

#battleofthebelly
I've posted a thousand times about losing weight. I have problems sticking with a weight loss/work out problem. I set goals and then just give up. Not this time!! This time I paid a lot of money to run a race while I am on vacation. In fact, we planned an entire vacation around this race! So I am sticking with it!
I started a 20 week couch to half marathon training program. Interval training so I am building up my endurance in a healthy way! I am also starting to do yoga. I have pretended to do yoga in the past, done the Jillian Michaels yoga challenge, and got kicked out of a yogalates class in college. However, I am really loving the way yoga is making me feel. The relaxation (ha!) and the stretch I am getting is amazing! I am looking for a yoga class I can fit into my week. the #mayibeginyoga2015 instagram yoga challenge has been a lot of fun to do. A pose a day for the whole month!
I am also doing a #30dayabchallenge My upper body and my core are super weak. I am hoping that by toning my core muscles through yoga and ab work, not only will I have a flatter tummy, but also help with my back and hip issues. My back is a mess after scoliosis, a few car accidents, and injuries dating back to high school and now my hips are out of whack after pushing out 2 babies. I don't feel comfortable going to a chiropractor so I am hoping all of this helps.
Now, on to the part I dread: The Weight Loss Goal.
I currently weight almost as much as I did the day I had Loralei. I have let myself go over the last year and half. It was easy to use excuses. "i have a toddler and a newborn" "I'm exhausted" "I don't have time" "I don't care if I am fat, I'm happy" Well the truth is, my baby isn't a newborn anymore. She isn't even really a baby. I'm exhausted because I am not healthy. I have plenty of time and really just lacked motivation. I do care that I am fat and I'm not really happy. It's time to change all of that! I want to have energy and be healthy and happy for my kids. I don't want to get tired just chasing Kenny around the yard or get winded running up the stairs. I want to lose 25-30 pounds. That will put me in a healthy BMI and get me down to a size I am comfortable with. If I lose more, then great, but I don't want to go to the extreme. I am more concerned with how I look and feel than what the scale actually says.
Soooo...... I will be posting my weight and doing biweekly weigh-ins to keep myself accountable. If it's out there, then I will want to make sure I change it.
175.2
There it is. It's not a pretty number and I am determined to see it drop. So thanks to all of you following this journey and keeping me accountable. I really do appreciate it!

Cardinals Care 6K
I once again participated in the Cardinals Care 6K this year. It is one of my favorite charity races, mainly because it is so laid back and Jackie Joyner Kersee is there!
This year I convinced a few people to do the race with me, and then I found out that I would be walking it this year!!! My girl Bridget rocked out her first race! Heck, she ran it faster than I did the last 2 years! Her mom Karen, and Brother in Law Gary also joined the team! My friend Scott did it as well, despite a little honeymoon interrupting his training. I even got the husband to agree to do it! He was supposed to walk with me, but decided to run as much as he could with our friend Leslie. He did pretty great, considering I can't tell you the last time he ran anywhere! My Mother in Law walked the 1 mile fun run with Kenny in the stroller.
At the end of the race Jason Motte and his wife were there! It was pretty awesome and it was the first time a Cardinals player has been there at the finish line. It was a great way to raise some money for a fantastic organization and honor the late great Stan Musial!!

At it again!
This time I am going to stick with it! I swear!
I started the Couch 2 5 K program (again) yesterday! The weather is beautiful and there is no excuse to not run...
Except time. There is never enough time
I already wake up at 5 in the morning to be at work by 8. So I run at night. I always have. It worked out perfect. I could run at 9, I could run at 7. I was free to run when I felt like it. Except now I have Kenny. So I run around his schedule I don't like running in West Alton after dark anymore because there are no streetlights and 94 is just to busy for that. A few close calls scared me of that. So I have created a new schedule.
My plan is to use my crock pot or make a casserole for my running days. Pick up Kenny around 5 and get home. Nurse him. Then hit the streets with him in the jogging stroller (that is going to take some getting used to!) By time I am done with my run, Travis should be home and out of the shower. He can feed Kenny while I shower and then we can eat. No cooking and everyone is happy! I might even get Trav to join me for a cool down walk around the neighborhood.
On the nights that it is raining or this plan just goes to hell, I use the treadmill. On non running days, I shred!
My goal run is to run the Cardinals Care 6K this August in 45 minutes or less. That is about a 12 minute mile. I am putting together a team for the 6K if anyone wants to run it!
I want to run the GO! Halloween 10K at an 11 minute mile.
If anyone wants to send me a text or call me and make sure I have my butt in gear, feel free! I need all the help I can get!

165.5.....
Pounds. Ugh. Saying it out loud hurts!
So, I am really lacking in the motivation department when it comes to working out. I have a million different excuses but it really boils down to the fact that I would rather get those extra precious minutes of sleep than work out. I was lucky and lost all my baby weight quickly. By time Kenny was a week old, I was in pre-pregnancy jeans. By time he was about 3 weeks old, I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. At my 6 weeks check up I was under my pre-pregnancy weight! I have since gained back 7-8 pounds! The problem is, I was in the process of losing weight when I got pregnant. I have a good 25 pounds to lose before I am really happy.
I thought I was looking pretty good, until I took this picture of my new outfit to show a friend. Uh Uh! I need to drop some lbs pretty quick.
I have started the C25K program and am planning on running the St. Pat's run in March and at minimum the Go 5K, possibly the half in April.
If you see me slacking, give me a much needed kick in the ass! Please! I DO NOT want to be overweight with a kid in middle school and still blaming it on the baby weight!
So I figure if I say it out loud and let everyone know, then it will motivate me even more. This way I can let everyone know how much I am losing!
As of 1/21/13 I weigh 165.5
Here is my before shot!
Bleh!

ramblings and rants
I have really slacked on this blog thing. I read blogs everyday, but I have been bad about writing on my own. I think that it is because I have been in a really dark place lately and don't want this blog to be a downer all the time. However, sometimes I need the release.
This is where we are at with the whole baby making process. This will probable be my last cycle on Clomid. I am getting blood drawn on Thursday to see where my progesterone level is and if I actually ovulated. Dr. J doesn't want to keep wasting time if the Clomid is not working and since we are now at 21 months of TTC he feels that it may be time to move on to a specialist. Even though I am terrified, I have to agree. The simple fix of "getting me to ovulate with Clomid" isn't working. That said, if my levels look really good but I don't get pregnant, he may decide to have one more month of Clomid. But, those levels have to look really good, like perfect.
I am not sure what the next step would be. Dr. J said that it could be a different type of ovulation inducing medication along with ultrasounds to check follicles and a lot more blood testing. This could include injectible medication. IUI has also been thrown out there for the first time in this whole journey. However, IUI is a waste if I don't ovulate, so we have to solve one problem at a time. Obviously I have ovulated both on and off the clomid (miscarriage 1 was on cycle 2 and miscarriage 2 was drug free) so we are not sure what exactly is going on. All of the blood work that I have had done is not giving a reason. I will no more in a week or so, as to what the plan may be.
I am determined to not let this rule my life. It is really hard for me to realize that I am not in control at all. I refuse to become upset when someone tells me they are pregnant! I have a lot of friends that are having little girls in the next couple of months and I am so excited for each of them. Travis and I are not living our life ruled by infertility. I feel like that is all we have thought about for almost 2 years. We are working through this together!
I have signed up for 2 5K's, one at the end of March and the GO! 5K in April. I have convinced a few friends to run the GO with me! Training has sucked because I don't have a treadmill to run on and all of the ice is making it pretty scary to run. I am pretty excited to beat my time from the last race and want to train pretty hard!
Civil war reenacting is about to get underway. I know it is kind of a dorky thing, but I love dressing up in these big beautiful gowns. This is the start of the 150th anniversary battles so there are a lot of HUGE events coming up.
I finally printed off pictures from our honeymoon and can't wait to get my scrapbook together. I am slowly catching up but deciding that 2004-2006 are just not going to get done. (There are a lot of pictures that I don't even want to remember so it is not worth the time!) Right now I am focusing on the big events (wedding, honeymoon, anniversary) and then will slowly work on my year by year albums!
Ok, I guess that is enough ranting for today! Thanks for listening!

I did it!!!
I may not have had the fastest time!

Or the smoothest stride!

I may have walked a bit more than I wanted!

But I finished!

I accomplished my goals!

I ran under a 14 minute mile!

I finished in under 45 minutes!(and the official time was even less than this!)

I had a great running team! Thanks again Jake and Amy!!

19 days after being cleared by my doc to run again, after a month of not running, I finished my first race!

Goal
After talking to Rachel last night, I realized that I needed to give myself a greater goal to motivate my butt to get off the couch. I may be out of my mind, but I just signed up for my first 5K! I am going to run in the Jingle Bell 5K to benefit the Arthritis foundation. The race is on 11/21. The best part... I convinced Travis to run it with me!!!! If any of you runners out there would like to join, our team is Team Wunderlich (I know, not very creative.) If you would like to donate to the Arthritis foundation, here is a link to my page

Can I just say that I am a little terrified. Never imagined that I would be signing up to run in any race. I am more of a fun walk person!!

If I put it on my blog maybe it will motivate me!
So I have decided that I have to let myself go! Go back to the shape I used to be in, that is. I have started run/walking. I used to run 1-3 miles every day in college. Now I can't even make it halfway down the street. I'm not training for any marathon, although I really admire those of you that are (Rachel, Jamie, and Kori!) Maybe I will feel like I can do that when I am seeing a little more progress. Instead, I am feeling like I need a knee replacement and my calves are being ripped from my legs. I have also started yoga again. I also have another agenda than just looking good in my size 8 jeans that I am determined to get back from my BF! Trav and I have been struggling to get pregnant and I know getting healthy can only help. I quit smoking in January and am now determined to lose at least 20 pounds. Plus it will help if I have something else to focus on and (hopefully) have something to celebrate each month (weight loss!) Pregnancy has become my focus and it is a little upsetting. Things will work out and I know that but for now I am going to focus a little more on myself! I am not brave enough to post my starting weight or measurements but if it is okay with all of you in blog land, I will post any changes (good or bad). I am however putting up these awful pictures of me from our honeymoon hoping that will be enough to motivate me! Encouragement is always welcome! Thank you all in advance for your support!
