Christmas at Tiff and Gary's

My BF Bridget and I at christmas

Today was a great Christmas celebration at Tiffany and Gary's. All of the usual suspects were there. It was great to see not only the Hessel fam, but Budd and Sue, Russ and Mary, Lorraine, ect. It was a great dinner and it is always so much fun to see all of the kids opening their gifts! Thank you Sutphins for the awesome sweatshirt. In fact I am wearing right now! Thanks to Tiff and Gary for opening their home and hosting a great party! Love you guys!

I hate WINTER!

This is why I hate WINTER!!!!

I have been sick since Thanksgiving. I had the flu for five days complete with 103 fever and all the rest of the fun flu symptoms. Ever since, I have had a stupid cold or something. Stuffy nose, sore throat, blah blah blah. I will feel fine for a few days and then it all comes back. Just in time for the weekend and ruin any desire I have of going out and actually seeing my friends. I have no kids and no longer work on the weekends and have gone out less than when I did work at lovely ECC. Now, I would love to go to the dr. and find out what is wrong with me, but seeing as I just got my insurance on Dec. 1st, all of the GPs I have called have said that they are not accepting new patients until after the new year. So I am relying heavily on over the counter stuff, the drug samples that Trav's mom brings me and vitamins. I'm sure that working with the snotty nosed kiddos (because they are all sick as well) isn't helping. However, I thought my immune system was pretty high considering the fact that I have been working with snotty nosed kiddos for 10 years now. What is wrong with me!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!

It's beginning to look alot like christmas!!!

Christmas is almost here and I cannot wait!!! The parties, the food, the decorations, and spending time with friends and family, I LOVE IT ALL!!! It all starts with the Olson Christmas Carol! A great evening with my other family, singing carols, eating to much food, and drinking WAY too much! It is my favorite Christmas event. This year was a great party that gave me a chance to see some friends I haven't seen in really long time, and of course Margaux's yoga demostration was the cherry on top!!

Yesterday I tagged along to see santa with the future in-laws. It was a great day and I also got to see Taylor Rose, Baby Jason, and of course Melissa and Jason. I can't believe that baby J is 3 and Taylor is in 5th grade. For those of you who don't know, I have been babysitting Tay since she was about a year old. At one point she even called me Momma Kathy. They live in Hamel, IL now so I don't get to see them enough. It has been about a year and half since I saw them last. Time flies and now I feel old!!!.

I can't wait for Hessel family christmas at the Tiff and Gary's. I love spending time with my adopted families! I am hoping the xmas at Grandma's goes a lot smoother than Thanksgiving but there is alot of drama going on that I don't know if I have the energy to deal with it! I just hope everyone keeps it together for Grandma's sake!!!!
On top of the upcoming holidays, there are 2 new baby girls for me to be excited about!!! Rachel and Mike had Carli a few weeks ago and I cannot wait to see her! She looks so beautiful in the pictures I have seen. Stephanie and Matt had Taylor Lynn on Thursday evening. I saw her on friday and she is so adorable! I can't wait to spoil her! Congrats to both families!!!!!
If I don't post again, have a safe and Happy Holidays!!! Enjoy the time with you families!!!
Love,
Kathy

Thanksgiving Hell!

So it looks like everyone is blogging these days. I figured that this is a good way to relieve some stress and let people know what is going on. First off! My family is crazy and I really opened my eyes to it today at Thanksgiving Dinner. If I even told you what all happened, you would call me a liar and think I made it all up! Yes, it was that bad. Well those of you that know this side of my family might believe me! I am dreading Christmas already!!!! On the positive side, Travis and I consider Thanksgiving the anniversary of when we started dating! Now I know that most people use an actual date, we aren't really sure of when we got together so we just use Thanksgiving, So we have been together for 2 years! Whoohooo! It has been the greatest 2 years of my life! I love him so much!
