To infinity and beyond

After hitting the beach, Trav and I headed over to Kennedy Space Center. We saw an Imax movie about the moon, and saw several different space shuttles. It is really cool! We sat where astronauts have sat and ate what they had to eat!

Beach Bums

Travis and I hit the beach on the last full day of our honeymoon. Too bad the weather did not want us to actually get a tan, or get in the water. It was about 50 degrees that day! We went to Cocoa Beach, FL. It is not the nicest beach in FL but I knew that there were plenty of things to do around it. The sound of waves hitting the sand is the most soothing sound in the world to me and I can just sit and listen to it for hours. We ate lunch on the pier where Trav ordered gator bites and I tried one. Yuck! Then we just walked along the surf for about a mile, up and down the beach. We watched the surfers and gathered shells which are now displayed in our house to remind us of our honeymoon!

The things you do for your husband!

So day 4 of our magical honeymoon was spent at a football stadium. That's right people! What is worst is they are a rival of my favorite football team. Ever heard of the battle of the bays? That is where my team (GreenBAY) is pitted against his team (Tampa BAY). Being the amazing wife that I am, I got my new husband 3rd row, 30 yard line, behind the Bucs bench tickets to the game against the Falcons. Then to make him happy, I put on a Bucs sweatshirt and a hat. Then I cheered for them. Then I saw their inside linebacker. Barret Ruud is now the reasom I am a Tampa Bay fan! Yummy! What is better is that my hubby doesn't mind because now I root for his team. BTW, it was the 2nd coldest Bucs game in Tampa history! Yippee!

Drinking our way through 11 countries (Or Epcot)

We spent day 3 of our magical honeymoon at Epcot. This park ranks right up there with Magic Kingdom. It is definitely geared more towards adults. Considering you can buy beer everywhere! Travis was so happy when he found out that they served Yeungling! It is his favorite beer and only sold on the east coast. I probably could have gotten him to do whatever I wanted when I bought him that! We loved our day at Epcot!

A rainy day at Hollywood Studios

Due to the apparent effects of Global Warming, we did not have the warm weather we should have while in Florida. I blame Al Gore. Anyway, We were lucky enough to only have one rainy day while we were there. We spent the day at Hollywood Studios(formally MGM studios). This is not my favorite park. It is geared toward kids and the less adventures crowd. With 2 exceptions.

The Tower of Terror is fantastic, and gave Travis a heart attack! The Aerosmith Rock N Roller coaster was fantastic! It is an indoor coaster that flips you upside down and then takes your picture! Awesome!

We also went to an animation studio and learned how to draw Pluto, we learned the history of Walt Disney and the fact that he lived in MO for 4 years and Main Street USA is a mock of the town he lived in! We cut the day short because we were wet and freezing. We went to dinner at Smokey Bones and it was awesome!

A Magical Honeymoon at the Happiest Place on Earth~~~Day 1

Travis and I decided to go to Walt Disney World for out honeymoon. It was sentimental to me because that is where my parents went on their honeymoon in 1979. 30 years later we celebrated there as well. It took some smooth talking to convince Trav that you don't have to be a kid to love Disney. The trip was also planned around his Christmas present, 3rd row tickets to the Tampa Bay Bucs game.

Our first full day of the trip was also the busiest! It was NYE and we were spending it at the Magic Kingdom! Seeing Travis' face as he got his first glimpses of the Castle were priceless. We arrived before the park opened and took the ferry across to the entrance. I had never been on the ferry (always taking the monorail) and it was fun! The park was still decorated for Christmas and the decorations were amazing!!!

The Castle has always been my favorite part of the park!

We managed to do almost all of the rides or shows. Out of about 40 things to do, we only missed 14! We had a plan and we stuck to it!!

Space Mountian is a favorite but the teacups definetly are not! I almost threw up!

We celebrated our honeymoon in style!

The evening ended with the most amazing fireworks that I have ever seen. The castle made a perfect backdrop and because it was New Year's Eve they had fireworks shooting off all around the park! 2010 started off truly magical!

Snow Day!

So we returned from a magical week in Florida (I promise my next post will be about it) to a snowstorm. Not that I minded getting an extra day off of work, but snow was not what we wanted to see! However, I love taking pictures of the snow. I really wanted to drive up Highway 94 to see the trees because there are so few in town, but they didn't plow our street until friday morning so we were snowed in!
